Gilead Sciences seeks a Director of Engineering for its Alberta manufacturing site. This leadership role oversees the Engineering team, manages capital projects and plant systems, and ensures compliance with regulatory and safety standards in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Lead daily activities and manage performance of the Engineering team

Oversee design, installation, and operation of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems

Develop and review capital expenditure proposals and project requirements

Coordinate plant changes and equipment upgrades across production and quality functions

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage audits and inspections

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 12+ years of experience in engineering or manufacturing
- Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) designation registered in Alberta
- Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards for pressure vessels and power plants
- Experience managing engineering teams and budgets
- Demonstrated people leadership and talent development skills
