Position Details:The Manager, Strategic Initiatives is a senior-level role responsible for definition, oversight, monitoring, and progress reporting for HCCA's annual strategic initiatives (SIs). Working directly with HCCA executive leadership and peers, this individual plans and delivers complex, cross-functional projects that are aligned to the SIs. They manage a portfolio of projects and provide leadership and direction to project team members. In addition, they establish and maintain effective project management governance practices to ensure project sponsors and stakeholders are actively engaged and informed.
Lead planning and delivery of complex, cross-functional projects in support of the SIs. Manage multiple projects concurrently using robust project management methodologies and tools. Provide guidance and direction to project team members.
Determine project resource needs and collaborate with HCCA leaders and external service providers to secure resource commitments.



Proactively identify project risks and issues and work with the project team to identify mitigations and solutions. Regularly communicate status to project sponsors and stakeholders. Lead project governance activities including steering committee meetings and project status reporting.
Work with HCCA executive leadership and peers to identify and act upon opportunities to improve project management processes and tools. Maintain project management templates including project plans, status reports, issue logs, defect logs, etc.
7+ years project and/or program management experience

- 5+ years work experience in consumer financial services / automotive finance businesses
- Experience with traditional and agile IT software development practices
- Experience working directly with vendors to develop integrated project plans and resource plans
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience

Broad understanding of consumer finance / automotive finance business processes
In-depth understanding of project management methodologies and tools
Ability to guide and direct project team members
Adept using Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project
Strong research, analytical, organization and time/project management skills
Detail oriented with ability to maintain high levels of quality and productivity
