Oxford Learning Cambridge is currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Part time Elementary Teacher/Tutor to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with elementary students and is confident supporting a variety of subjects, including reading, writing, spelling, and math . Whether you’re a certified teacher, teacher candidate, or experienced tutor, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience and make a meaningful difference for students.

Best of all, there is no lesson planning to take home. Student programs and lessons are prepared for you, and all teacher-tutors receive training in Oxford Learning’s teaching methods and philosophy.

Position Requirements Our teacher-tutors work during after-school and evening hours Monday to Thursday from 3:00 p.m.–as well as Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m.–This is not an online position, and relocation packages are not available.

Education We encourage you to apply if you have most of the following:

Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field

University students with significant teaching or tutoring experience will also be considered

Teaching certification is an asset but is not required

Confidence supporting students in reading, writing, spelling, and math from Kindergarten through Grade 8

Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching,



or working with children

Strong written and oral English communication skills

The ability to multitask and work effectively with up to three students at different academic levels

A willingness to learn and consistently follow Oxford Learning’s established teaching methods

A genuine interest in helping students become more confident and independent learners

Responsibilities As an Oxford Learning Teacher-Tutor, you will:

Provide instruction in reading, writing, spelling, math, and other elementary subjects based on student needs

Use Oxford Learning’s teaching methods and strategies

Adapt your explanations and teaching approach to meet different learning needs

There are no lessons to plan at home and no stacks of marking to take with you after your shift . Your time at Oxford Learning is focused on what matters most: teaching, encouraging, and connecting with students.
