Medical underwriting expertise and sound judgment define this Senior Underwriter role with iA Financial Group in a hybrid environment. Support complex cases across Quebec, Montreal, or Toronto.

As a Senior Underwriter, you will develop individual insurance underwriting expertise while supporting teams with complex analysis, quality control, and practice improvement. Your work will help accelerate and automate underwriting through stronger rules, processes, and technologies. You will also share knowledge with French- and English-speaking underwriting colleagues across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support underwriters analyzing complex medical and non-medical situations
- Assess practices and recommend corrective actions or rule enhancements
- Conduct sampling reviews of decisions and applications




- Support adverse selection and disputed underwriting cases
- Lead improvement initiatives and change management activities

Requirements:

- University bachelor's degree or relevant underwriting experience
- Minimum 10 years of individual insurance underwriting experience
- Experience with life insurance and living perks products
- Analytical mindset, precise reasoning, and excellent judgment
- Advanced English proficiency; FALU or FLMI is an asset
