Build Heavy Equipment Technician skills with Toromont Cat while learning from experienced technicians and working with Caterpillar equipment. This is a full time, permanent opportunity.
As a Registered Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician, you will continue learning on the job when not attending school. The position supports progression toward a Licensed Technician opportunity through hands-on development. You will repair equipment, diagnose problems, and prepare service documentation while supporting customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair Caterpillar and other equipment brands for customers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment problems
- Use Caterpillar testing equipment during diagnostic work
- Prepare accurate service reports and documentation
- Follow Toromont health, safety, and environmental policies
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Heavy Equipment Mechanics program
- Completion of a post-secondary Heavy Equipment Mechanics program
- Registered Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician status
Develop Caterpillar repair, diagnostics, and service documentation skills while progressing toward licensed Heavy Equipment Technician work.
