Deliver significant packages on foot with UPS in Nanaimo, using customer service skills and electronic scanning equipment. No driver’s license is required.
As a Delivery Driver Helper, you will assist UPS Drivers across an assigned geographical area. You will deliver and pick up parcels near designated meet points, UPS Stores, and customer locations. This part time seasonal position runs Monday to Friday, starting at 08:45AM, for four to five hours per shift. Work continues through December 2026, with possible extension depending on delivery volume.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver packages on foot throughout assigned delivery areas
- Assist UPS Drivers near agreed daily meet points
- Pick up parcels from UPS Stores and customers
- Operate electronic scanning equipment during package handling
- Lift, lower, and carry packages safely and efficiently
Requirements:
- No driver’s license required for this position
- Walk and deliver packages outside in all weather
- Occasionally lift up to 70 pounds unassisted
- Meet UPS Drivers at assigned points every day
- Provide efficient, dedicated customer service
