Train members at Planet Fitness Tamarack in Edmonton using exercise instruction, safety awareness, and attentive customer service. This full time role follows a fixed schedule.
The Fitness Trainer delivers courteous service while supporting customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will evaluate abilities and physical conditions, develop suitable programs, monitor progress, and adapt training. The position also requires balancing multiple tasks and promoting Planet Fitness Mission, Vision and Values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe participants and explain corrective measures for skill improvement
- Instruct exertion levels and proper breathing during exercise routines
- Evaluate abilities, needs, and physical conditions for training programs
- Monitor progress and adapt programs as needed
- Explain and enforce equipment and activity safety rules
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Six months retail customer service experience required
- Fitness experience, CPR/AED certification, or bilingual ability preferred
- Certification required to assist and coach members
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds
