Voyago is now hiring School Bus Monitors in Owen Sound for the 2026/2027 school year!

We are currently seeking Part‑Time Monitors to fill vacancies and support future route opportunities.

Your role:

- You will provide a safe, supportive, and caring environment for students, including children with special needs, while travelling to and from school
- You will assist students with boarding and exiting the school bus safely, ensuring proper securement of mobility devices and other equipment when required
- You will support students throughout the ride by helping them remain calm, comfortable, and following established safety procedures
- You build positive, respectful relationships with students while communicating any concerns or incidents to the driver and appropriate school staff
- You will work closely with the driver to ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive transportation experience for every student
- You will adhere to the scheduling based on bus route and needs of the students

Requirements

Your profile:

- You are safety focused
- You are 21 years of age or over
- You can obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening




- You have a sound knowledge of Owen Sound and surrounding areas
- You have the ability to work with others; specifically the bus driver
- You are available for the required shifts:
- Monday to Friday approximately 6:0am to 9:15am AND 2:30 to 4:30pm (Start and end times will vary depending on the specific details of each route

- You possess solid communication skills
- You enjoy being around children of all ages
- You have experience working with children or individuals with special needs is considered an asset
- You are comfortable working as a spare monitor helping cover for monitors who are off sick or have booked time off

Hourly Rate:

- We offer a competitive hourly pay
- $20.50/hour

- We pay for the pre & post trip circle checks
- School routes are paid a minimum 4 hours per day!
- Charter work is available for those interested in picking up hours beyond their regular school route!
