Support prescription filling and patient care at Walmart in Burnaby, British Columbia, using pharmacy operations and administrative skills. This position is based at 9855 Austin Road, Suite 300.
The Pharmacy Assistant supports the Pharmacist with technical prescription tasks and administrative duties. You will process prescriptions, complete computer functions, manage inventory, and assist with customer service. You will also support over-the-counter operations and maintain an organized dispensary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive prescriptions and assess required patient information
- Enter prescription data and update patient profiles
- Prepare prescriptions under Pharmacist supervision
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, equipment, and dispensary organization
- File records and support over-the-counter operations
Requirements:
- Ability to interpret written prescriptions and Latin abbreviations
- Ability to recognize drug names and calculate dosages
- Ability to perform visual, DIN, and seven point checks
- Ability to complete assigned cashier and administrative duties
- Ability to maintain a clean, protected work environment
