Develop structural engineering expertise with STAAD-Pro and concrete design at PHASOR Engineering through an Alberta-based, full-time co-op placement.
As a Civil Engineer COOP, you will contribute to structural engineering design within PHASOR Engineering’s experienced technical team. The work includes steel and concrete structures, shallow and deep foundations, and applicable Canadian codes. You will also gain exposure to civil works and safety in design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to structural engineering design within the Civil Group
- Apply technical knowledge to steel and concrete structures
- Support shallow and deep foundation design activities
- Gain knowledge of earthworks, site preparation, and retaining walls
- Use STAAD-Pro for structural engineering design applications
Requirements:
- Current student at a credited university in Canada
- Participation in your university’s co-op program
- Availability for full-time temporary placement of at least eight months
- Ability to work in the office up to five days weekly
- Robust understanding of safety in design principles
