Use basic hand tools and mechanical aptitude at BD Diesel Performance as a Transmission Assembly Technician, working Monday through Friday.
This Level I technician supports transmission preparation, finishing, and packaging within the Transmission Department. Duties include parts cleaning, core selection, teardown, surface inspection, painting, and production equipment maintenance. The schedule runs from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick transmission cores and perform parts cleaning
- Tear down transmissions under senior personnel direction
- Inspect cores and prepare surfaces for finishing
- Paint casings and accessories before final packaging
- Finish and package transmissions for production
Requirements:
- Moderate understanding of general job aspects
- One to two years of general work experience
- Basic hand tool experience in production environments
- Self-motivated, positive, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to manually move items weighing up to 49 pounds
