The Pharmacy Assistant supports the Pharmacist with technical prescription filling and administrative duties. You will receive prescriptions, enter patient information, calculate dosages, process refills, and prepare products under supervision. The work also includes customer service and pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive prescriptions and assess required patient and prescriber information
- Process data entry, refills, pricing, profiles, and reports
- Select, count, measure, label, and organize prescription products
- Perform seven point, visual, and DIN accuracy checks
- Obtain required approvals for authorized verbal refills
Requirements:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Follow provincial legal and regulatory prescription conditions
- Interpret written prescriptions and Latin abbreviations
- Recognize drug names and complete dosage calculations
