Use project controls and cost estimating expertise to prepare Cementation mining proposals in North Bay or Sudbury, Ontario. The position includes occasional travel.
As Senior Estimator, you will work with Cementation’s Estimating & Studies Team and Operations personnel. You will prepare competitive bids and engineering studies at scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility levels. The position emphasizes schedules, cycle-time analysis, historical performance, tender documentation, and accurate cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare estimates for competitive bids and engineering studies
Calculate cycle times and assess historical project performance
Apply labour, equipment, and material requirements
Maintain centralized historical estimating data and conduct time studies
Support continuity between tender, construction, and project completion
Requirements: Ten to fifteen years in estimating or related functions
Underground environment experience, including shaft sinking
Experience as estimator, project controller, scheduler, or contracts administrator
Solid Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills are assets
Ability to analyze mine quantities using planning software
Bring mining cost estimating, project controls, cycle analysis, and scheduling capability to Cementation’s tender team.
