This Senior Software Development Engineer role belongs to AWS Neuron's Developer Experiences team and Neuron Explorer. You will transform hardware execution data into insights for engineers optimizing machine learning workloads. Your work includes backend processing, web UI, CLI workflows, and distributed application analysis.
Key Responsibilities: Transform raw hardware data into actionable performance insights
Make profiling information understandable through interactive visualizations
Deliver reliable features across the software lifecycle
Expose performance information with compiler and runtime teams
Guide optimization through generative AI recommendations
Requirements: Five or more years of non-internship software development
Mentoring, technical leadership, or engineering team leadership experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Production LLM experience on AI acceleration hardware preferred
Six or more years of full software lifecycle experience preferred
Apply senior engineering judgment to AI performance tooling, Neuron Explorer workflows, and optimization guidance for Trainium customers.
