Reporting to the Transit Operations Supervisor, the Dispatcher supports daily operations and vehicle switch-outs alongside scheduled driving shifts. The position uses payroll, reporting, scheduling, and Microsoft Office platforms while addressing operational challenges. It also supports safe, reliable service across expanded Kingston regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and submit timesheets, vacation requests, and operational records
- Check spare vehicles and coordinate replacements during breakdowns
- Report injuries, collisions, and property damage promptly
- Conduct safety blitzes and driver road observations
- Resolve driver concerns and escalate complex issues
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and standard software
- Valid G-class licence with clean driver’s abstract
- Current criminal record check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Solid organization, communication, and customer service skills
