Youth Care Worker needed in Ponteix, Vanguard, and Val Marie, supporting student services through counselling and family communication. This permanent full-time position requires 35 hours weekly.

The Chinook School Division seeks a Youth Care Worker for its student-centered school communities. You will support students’ academic and social-emotional needs through interagency collaboration, family advocacy, and socio-emotional programming. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Participate actively on a student services team
- Support positive parent and school communications
- Advocate for parents in agency and school involvement
- Connect families with community parenting and family supports




- Assist counselling and socio-emotional programming teams

Requirements:

- Social Worker, Youth Worker, or Youth Counsellor certification or diploma
- School-based experience with children preferred
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with students, families, and school staff
- Criminal records check with vulnerable sector search required
