About Our ClientOur client is seeking a Payroll Analyst for a permanent position or 6-month contract.About the OpportunityMust-Have Criteria (Payroll)Process full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for a large workforce of hourly employees as well as salaried corporate staffEnsure accurate payroll administration, including payroll balancing, year-end processing, and legislative reporting requirements.Manage CRA remittances, Records of Employment (ROEs), T4 preparation, and annual payroll reconciliations.Maintain compliance with Alberta Employment Standards and Canadian payroll legislation, including overtime calculations, statutory holiday pay, deductions, and related requirements.Serve as the primary resource for employee payroll inquiries, earnings questions, and payroll record maintenance.Partner with operational leaders and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for payroll process improvements and efficiencies.Good to Have Criteria (Human Resources)Develop, maintain, and enhance HR programs and procedures across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.Coordinate employee certification and licensing compliance requirements, ensuring records remain current and regulatory obligations are met.Administer group advantages programs, including enrollments, employee changes, terminations,



reconciliations, and carrier communications.Oversee Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) administration, including claims management, modified work coordination, and return-to-work programs.About You5+ years of full cycle payroll, including 2 years of performing the process start to finishPCP designation is requiredAbility to work in a fast paced, changing environmentThe Human Resource criteria above is an asset but not requiredYou must currently reside within the Calgary area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
