Prepare food items as a Commis Chef at Great Canadian Entertainment, following culinary standards, safety policies, and hygiene procedures in the kitchen.

Reporting to the Sous Chef or Manager, Food and Beverage, this position supports food preparation and high volume production. The Commis Chef maintains company standards, follows procedures, and contributes to a secure, welcoming work environment. The role includes kitchen communication, stock handling, and inventory counts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, pre-cook, and cook food products as directed
• Prepare mise en place, garnishes, sauces, dishes, and cutlery
• Clean kitchen equipment after use following safety procedures
• Receive, label, date, store,
  
  
  
  and rotate stock
• Count inventory and communicate with operational departments

Requirements:

• High School Diploma; culinary education is an asset
• Minimum six months of culinary experience
• Food Safety Certification
• Red Seal certification or current enrollment is an asset
• Ability to obtain a Gaming License
