Operate precision grinding equipment at IATGlobal Manufacturing, using mechanical aptitude and technical drawings to produce accurate machine parts. This is a day shift role.
As a Grinder Operator, you will support core manufacturing processes through Jig, Surface, and OD/ID grinding. The position requires blueprint interpretation, GD&T; understanding, CNC programming familiarity, and careful quality verification. You will also support assembly operations and production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, set up, and maintain grinding machines
- Interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and GD&T;
- Measure first-run parts and maintain quality records
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Manufacture rush machine parts and support assembly operations
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of grinding experience preferred
- Solid mechanical aptitude and technical drawing interpretation
- Familiarity with CNC programming concepts and GD&T;
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility for weekends and evenings when required
