Champion organ and tissue donation with Ontario Health (TGLN) at Grand River Hospital, supporting high-quality end-of-life care. Commit 1.5 days monthly during the stated contract.

The Hospital Donation Physician serves as a multidisciplinary link between the hospital and Ontario Health (TGLN). This physician supports donation practices, Gift of Life Act requirements, policy alignment, and quality improvement. The appointment runs January 1, 2027, through March 31, 2028.

Key Responsibilities:

- Co-chair the hospital organ and tissue committee
- Support donation program growth, sustainability, and policy updates
- Advocate for donation resources and remove system-level barriers
- Analyze metrics and communicate progress to physician groups




- Educate physicians and learners on donation requirements

Requirements:

- Practicing Ontario physician in positive CPSO standing
- Over two years of clinical experience
- Royal College specialty certification, preferably Critical Care Medicine
- Ongoing bedside critical care practice at identified hospital
- Ability to engage diverse stakeholders through consultation and communication
