This Head of Property role leads the Property department while reporting to the Managing Director. You will combine robust technical knowledge with portfolio management and business development. The position supports profitable underwriting, customized client solutions, and alignment with global strategies in Canada.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and direct Property department operations and strategy
Produce and underwrite profitable new and renewal business
Implement global strategies across Canadian operations
Provide expert leadership, motivation, and engagement
Present to brokers and clients for business development
Requirements: 10+ years of experience in property underwriting
Solid Property policy wording and underwriting knowledge
Bachelor's degree and CIP designation required
FCIP designation preferred
Ability to balance leadership, portfolio, and business development
Use technical Property underwriting, strategic leadership, and client-facing skills to advance HDI Global SE’s Canadian business.
