Design cloud-based backend services at BlackLine while applying clean coding and troubleshooting skills in a hybrid workplace model.
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will help deliver high quality releases for BlackLine customers. Your work includes backend service development, feature optimization, technology evaluation, and collaboration with other teams. You will communicate with people at all levels while contributing to BlackLine’s Finance Automation product suite.
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop BlackLine’s cloud-based backend services
Troubleshoot, maintain, optimize, and scale backend services
Research, test, benchmark, and evaluate recent technologies
Collaborate with teams to define and build new features
Write clean code and optimize existing features
Requirements: Attention to detail in software engineering work
Tenacity when addressing technical challenges
Creative problem-solving and forward thinking
Ability to communicate with people at all levels
Ability to work in-office at least three days weekly when commuting reasonably
