NLSchools seeks Student Assistants to work under teacher and school-team direction. The position supports student agency, self-determination, active school participation, personal care, mobility, lifting, and safety. School procedures, emergency responses, confidentiality, and field-trip participation are central to the work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care and mobility support within K-12 schools
- Assist with lifting and positive behaviour support
- Facilitate student agency and active school participation
- Follow fire drill and emergency operating procedures
- Maintain student and school confidentiality

Requirements:

- High school completion or recognized equivalency
- Required experience working with children professionally or voluntarily
- Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check required
- Related training or coursework is preferred
- First Aid or CPI training is an asset
