Serve food and beverages at Hart House on the University of Toronto’s St. George campus while preparing products and maintaining cleanliness.
Under general supervision, the Cafeteria Worker assembles workstations, prepares menu items, serves customers, and maintains cafeteria areas. Duties include stir-fry and grill cooking, sandwich and salad preparation, dishwashing, supply handling, and cash register activities. The full time position requires flexibility, including evening and weekend hours.
Key Responsibilities: Assemble workstations with appropriate products and equipment
Prepare and serve food and beverage products
Cook stir-fry and grill display items
Clean cafeteria surfaces, floors, washrooms, and locker rooms
Receive supplies and check receiving slips for accuracy
Requirements: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
One year of related working experience
Knowledge of food safety
Effective oral and written English communication
Ability to work flexible evening and weekend hours
Bring food preparation, customer service, cleanliness, and cash-handling skills to Hart House’s University of Toronto cafeteria.
