Lead shelter operations for the City of Toronto while supervising frontline teams and supporting people experiencing homelessness across various in office locations.

This part-time, ongoing Shift Leader position serves Toronto Shelter & Support Services within the Homelessness Initiatives and Prevention Services section. You will supervise rotating shift operations, coordinate Housing First case management, and maintain client-focused service. The work includes staff coaching, crisis prevention, community response, administrative controls, and program monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise shift operations across a 24/7 shelter service
- Coordinate Housing First case management with supervisory staff
- Coach staff and support workplace wellness initiatives




- Adjust staffing schedules to maintain adequate coverage
- Respond to community concerns and emerging issues

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in Social Services or relevant discipline
- Supervisory experience supporting frontline social services staff
- Experience assisting vulnerable people in human services
- Availability for rotating days, afternoons, overnights, weekends, holidays
- Commitment to harm reduction, anti-oppression, and trauma-informed care
