Delta Intelligent Building Technologies trains this Junior Mechanical CAD Designer to support Senior Mechanical Designers and Electrical Hardware Designers. You will check, revise, and maintain existing 3D and 2D CAD files, adding accurate metadata before uploading files to SolidWorks PDM. The work follows established Product Development Process procedures and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check SolidWorks CAD files against as-built products
- Revise files and add missing metadata
- Upload corrected files to SolidWorks PDM
- Perform measurements and modelling investigations
- Maintain mechanical designs and drawings
Requirements:
- Two-year mechanical engineering technology diploma preferred
- Solid understanding of mechanical design
- Experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
- Experience with technical drawings, plastic, and sheet metal design
- Experience with manufacturing processes and interpersonal communication
