Teach and supervise undergraduate nursing students through UPEI's Faculty of Nursing, applying recent medical-surgical experience in varied clinical settings. The appointment is full time.
UPEI is seeking a Clinical Nursing Instructor for a 1.0 FTE term appointment. This instructor will support student learning at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Learning Resource Centre, primary healthcare, long-term care, and community sites. The term extends through July 30, 2027.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct clinical supervision for undergraduate nursing students
Guide student practice in medical-surgical health settings
Support learning at the UPEI Faculty Learning Resource Centre
Supervise clinical experiences in Queens and Kings County
Provide supervision across community and long-term care settings
Requirements: Minimum BScN or BN degree
Three years of full-time clinical experience required
Recent medical-surgical nursing practice required
Valid driver's license required
CNEI Clinical Instructor Certificate course is an asset
Bring nursing education and clinical practice experience to UPEI undergraduate supervision across hospital, community, and care settings.
