This RVT supports veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures in a collaborative animal hospital. The position combines compassionate client service with patient preparation, diagnostic equipment, and medication monitoring. It also includes helping manage practice operations, compliance, and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships with clients and their pets
- Assist veterinarians during medical, surgical, and dental procedures
- Use diagnostic equipment appropriately during patient care
- Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery
- Administer and monitor medicines under veterinary direction
Requirements:
- Pass the VTNE or be eligible to write it
- Valuable standing with the provincial regulatory association
- Complete an accredited Canadian veterinary technology diploma
- Support practice management, compliance, procedures, and protocols
- Provide respectful, compassionate, exceptional customer service
