Licensed Optician needed at Specsavers in Owen Sound, using optical expertise and digital dispensing tools. Availability includes evenings and weekends, up to 24 hours weekly.
You will guide customers through prescriptions, frames, lenses, treatments, and eyewear fit. Working with retail and clinical teams, you will provide personalized recommendations and support memorable visits. The position includes after-care, contact lens support, billing, coaching, inventory, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret optical prescriptions and understand customers’ visual needs
- Recommend frames and lenses for vision, comfort, and fit
- Complete dispensing measurements using Specsavers digital tools
- Perform eyewear quality assurance checks
- Resolve after-care complaints through effective problem-solving
Requirements:
- Valid provincial Dispensing Optician License
- Registration with the College of Opticians
- At least two years of customer service experience
- Optical dispensary experience preferred
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
