Maintain U-Haul trucks in Halifax using brake service, tire balancing, and electronic vehicle inspections. This full time position supports Ford and GMC fleet equipment.
As a Brake and Tire Technician, you will assess and care for field vehicles using U-Haul’s proprietary technology. The work includes securing trucks, performing brake and tire maintenance, and road testing vehicles occasionally. Training is available through Ford, GMC, and U-Haul classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Secure trucks on lifts and ramps
- Perform tire and brake maintenance
- Mount, dismount, and balance tires
- Occasionally road test vehicles
- Use electronic pre-inspection checklists
Requirements:
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- One to two years of repair experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
