The Procedural Asset and FX Technical Director supports teams using SideFX Houdini across assets, FX, Character-FX, Crowds, and Matte Painting. This technical direction role develops tools, troubleshoots pipelines, and supports global studio productions. You will collaborate with craft groups, show leadership, Solutions Engineering, and R&D; to enable standardized technical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Provide Houdini and USD expertise across supported departments
Design procedures, techniques, and tools for visual requirements
Develop, review, and maintain production-level code




Debug workflow issues with technical and engineering partners
Optimize PAFX tools, software, and workflows
Requirements: Five-plus years of pipeline TD experience
Comprehensive Houdini procedural workflow experience
Solid understanding of USD and Solaris/LOP
Production-ready Houdini Digital Asset development skills
Python, PySide or PyQt, and version-control knowledge
