As Senior Counselor, you will provide residential and community-based support through counseling, assessment, treatment planning, and documentation. You will facilitate therapeutic and educational programming, respond to crises, and collaborate with staff, agencies, and service providers. The position also includes mentoring counseling staff and participating in professional development.
Key Responsibilities: Assess residents’ needs and document confidential case notes
Develop treatment, healing, and wellness plans
Facilitate individual, group, and educational counseling sessions
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary staff and external partners
Support crisis response, team meetings, and program planning
Requirements: Residential or community-based counseling, psychotherapy, or social work experience
Effective group facilitation and conflict-resolution abilities
Knowledge of client-centered and trauma-informed mental health support
Ability to collaborate with community agencies and providers
Professional registration or eligibility is an asset
