About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Corporate Services to lead finance, human resources, information technology, and policy and strategic planning. The role includes advising executive leadership on financial stewardship, representing the organization in government and legislative matters, and strengthening financial operations. The successful candidate will build the human resources function, support workforce development, and oversee technology systems and data security. They will also shape policies, plans, and research, modernize corporate services, and lead organizational change.
Candidates should hold a CPA designation and have at least 10 years of progressive senior finance and management experience; public-sector, housing, or Crown corporation experience is preferred. Robust knowledge of public-sector budgeting, financial administration, and audit is required, along with familiarity with Nunavut, the Nunavut Agreement, and Inuit organizations. The role calls for a transformational, hands-on leader who can build teams, develop talent, communicate complex issues clearly, and guide change. Housing experience and fluency in more than one official language of Nunavut are assets; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
