Develop automated material handling solutions for Dematic customers by combining requirements analysis, application design, and costing expertise. Support lifecycle services and upgrades with approximately 20% travel.
This Solution Development Engineer creates service contract concepts and Modernizations & Upgrades proposals of varying complexity. You will examine customer operations, specifications, site information, and application objectives to define workable requirements. Collaboration with Sales, Operations, Lifecycle Solutions and Services, engineering teams, and subject matter experts supports accurate commercial assumptions and execution readiness.
Key Responsibilities: Design solutions integrating mechanical systems, drives, hardware, controls, and software
Develop resident maintenance, audits, preventive maintenance, remote support, and training offerings
Formulate concepts, scopes, staffing assumptions,



and application designs
Present proposed solutions and commercial assumptions to stakeholders
Maintain quality, accuracy, schedules, and accountability across opportunities
Requirements: Three to five years in solution development, estimating, proposals, or engineering
Knowledge of customer operations and automated material handling equipment
Ability to examine requirements, resolve issues, and formulate workable solutions
Ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines accurately
Salesforce, SAP, AutoCAD, Maestro, or iProposal experience preferred
Bring material handling knowledge, solution design, and analytical problem-solving to Dematic’s customer-centered proposal development work.
