As Underwriting Manager, you will lead a diverse-experience team within a leading Canadian commercial insurer. The permanent, full-time position is hybrid, with three office days weekly. You will oversee accounts typically carrying $10,000 to $250,000 in premium and support career growth, service consistency, and operational change.
Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day people management for underwriters
Create development plans and support career progression
Oversee mid-market underwriting from evaluation through documentation
Support profitable growth across an established portfolio
Guide responsive, consistent broker communication
Requirements: At least two years managing underwriting professionals
Strong mid-market construction underwriting experience
Commercial property and CGL expertise
Strong service orientation with broker relationship skills
CIP, FCIP, or equivalent designation completed or underway
