Blackline Civil Inc. seeks a skilled, safety-driven Finish Excavator Operator for underground construction. You will install water, sewer, and storm systems while working around live utilities. The work requires reading plans, maintaining trench safety, and coordinating with crews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators for trenching, backfilling, grading, and utility installation
- Safely expose existing underground utilities
- Follow grade stakes, trench depths, and site plans precisely
- Coordinate with pipe layers, labourers, and supervisors
- Conduct inspections and routine equipment maintenance
Requirements:
- Two or more years excavator experience in underground or civil construction
- Proven experience working around live utilities
- Understanding of trenching and excavation safety practices
- Ability to read plans and utility drawings
- Valid driver’s license and ground disturbance certification
