This Director of Engineering and Technical Services reports to the VP of Operations and oversees technical services and product development. The work includes checking drawings, developing design standards, coordinating engineering activities, and integrating technical products. You will guide structural details, sealing, document control, product improvements, and solutions for manufacturing and onsite challenges while supporting quality, budget, and schedule commitments.
Key Responsibilities: Provide concepts and design direction to engineering teams
Check drawings against design specifications and quality standards
Develop standards for tolerances, feasibility,
and supplier specifications
Manage document control and communicate revisions
Support custom design solutions and cost optimization
Requirements: Registered Qualified Engineer or eligible within six months
Seven or more years of technical managerial experience
Experience with structural design and new product launches
Knowledge of construction, costing, and building materials
Strong English communication and presentation skills
Use structural engineering judgment, technical design knowledge, and code familiarity to improve products and support reliable delivery.
