The Transmission Engineer delivers engineering support for new lines, rebuilds, upgrades, relocations, and emergency response. This permanent exempt management professional role requires detailed transmission design knowledge and coordination across internal teams, external consultants, EPC engineering, and field execution. The work spans design documents, loading analysis, construction support, inspection planning, and technical closeout.
Key Responsibilities: Design overhead systems, foundations, structures, and conductors
Perform PLS CADD, Pole, Tower, and Caisson analysis
Prepare specifications, scopes, tender packages, and material lists




Coordinate inspection points and respond to construction inquiries
Oversee consultant engineering quality and standards compliance
Requirements: Five or more progressive years in transmission line design
Engineering bachelor’s degree; structural engineering preferred
APEGA P.Eng status
Knowledge of discipline-specific engineering practices and requirements
Experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel
