Lead municipal accounting and financial reporting for the City of Maple Ridge as Deputy Finance Director in a regular full time position. Apply PSAS expertise and strengthen internal financial controls across corporate functions.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, this senior leader oversees corporate accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and internal controls. The position prepares annual financial statements and statutory reports while advising departments, senior management, and Council. It also supports financial planning, policy development, and recommendations for leadership.
Key Responsibilities: Lead corporate accounting, payroll, and financial reporting functions
Prepare accurate annual and statutory financial reports
Maintain accounting records and strengthen internal controls




Supervise accounting and payroll leaders while developing staff
Provide financial analysis, advice, and recommendations
Requirements: Business Administration degree and CPA or CA designation
Seven years of progressively responsible accounting experience
Three to five years supervising professional and support staff
Experience applying PSAS and coordinating external audits
Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver’s License
Bring municipal accounting leadership, PSAS knowledge, financial reporting expertise, and sound judgment to the City of Maple Ridge.
