Apply inpatient coding expertise at Humber River Health’s Wilson Site as a temporary full time Health Information Management Professional. Work days total 37.5 hours weekly.
This Health Information Services position reports to the Manager, Clinical Data Collection. You will review patient records, assign ICD-10-CA/CCI codes, and abstract information using CIHI standards. The assignment continues until May 16, 2027.
Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze patient records for inpatient coding
Assign ICD-10-CA/CCI codes supporting proper grouping outcomes
Abstract information according to CIHI standards and hospital policy
Complete and balance all visits for monthly coding
Document productivity according to departmental protocols
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Health Information Management Program
Certified member of the Canadian Health Information Management Association
Two to three years of inpatient coding experience
Knowledge of CIHI DAD, NACRS, products, and standards
Effective communication and independent teamwork abilities
Use inpatient coding, CIHI abstraction, and ICD-10-CA/CCI expertise to support Humber River Health’s clinical data collection.
