Keep healthcare unit communication organized as a Casual Nursing Unit Assistant at Ponderosa Lodge, coordinating orders, records, and messages.
Located in Kamloops, BC, this casual position supports daily nursing unit administration and patient or resident care coordination. You will prioritize physicians' orders, communicate with unit personnel, arrange appointments, and maintain charts and electronic information. Additional duties include data entry, filing, statistics, reports, item delivery, supply levels, meeting minutes, and time-keeping records. Shifts are available on days, Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 15:00 or 08:00 to 16:00. Weekly hours range from 0 to 37.5, with short-notice or pre-scheduled coverage for leaves.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as a communication link for the nursing unit
Relay patient or resident call-signal messages




Process and transcribe physicians' orders
Coordinate charts, records, and electronic health information
Maintain supplies, statistics, reports, and time records
Requirements: Casual availability within the stated weekly hour range
Availability for day shifts Monday through Friday
Ability to coordinate appointments and unit information
Ability to maintain accurate clerical and payroll records
