Provide personal care and daily mobility assistance for residents at AgeCare Shawnee, following care plans and safe transfer procedures.
This regular part-time Health Care Aide role supports residents within a team-oriented care team. Working under Licensed Practical Nurse supervision, you will help with personal hygiene, meals, routine treatments, and movement throughout the facility. Care follows resident needs and documented plans.
Key Responsibilities: Follow care plans when assisting resident meals
Support walking with walkers and mechanical aids
Move residents between beds, wheelchairs, and toilets
Assist travel to dining, beauty, therapy, and recreation
Accompany residents to internal social and therapy functions
Requirements: Personal Care Aide or Health Care Aide certificate
Active registration with the CLHA
Fluent written and spoken English
Continuing care experience preferred for one year
Post-secondary education is an asset
Use personal care, mobility support, and care-plan knowledge to assist residents respectfully at AgeCare Shawnee in Calgary.
