Nova Scotia Health is seeking an Advanced Registered Cardiology Technologist for a full-time, approximately 18-month assignment. The position evaluates and assists in diagnosing patients’ cardiac status through varied noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests. Duties include preparing patients, performing site-wide and signal-averaged electrocardiograms, completing ambulatory monitoring with Holter and Event Monitor preliminary reporting, and supporting physician-assisted exercise tolerance testing. The technologist also guides current learners through preceptorship and mentorship within the department.
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate cardiac status through noninvasive diagnostic tests




Prepare patients for electrodiagnostic procedures
Perform site-wide and signal-averaged electrocardiograms
Complete Holter and Event Monitor preliminary reporting
Support physician-assisted exercise tolerance testing
Requirements: Successful Cardiology Technology program or acceptable equivalent
Current registration in good standing with CSCT
Current BLS(HCP) certification
Ability to adapt to flexible workloads
Strong initiative and sense of responsibility
