Provide general medicine nursing care at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This is a regular part-time position.
Reporting to the Manager of 4 East Medicine, the Registered Nurse supports a multidisciplinary, family-centered care environment. The role serves a general medicine patient population while emphasizing patient education, care planning, documentation, and sound clinical judgment. Twelve-hour shifts include days, evenings, nights, and weekends, subject to change.
Key Responsibilities: Assess nursing needs for general medicine patients
Plan and implement individualized nursing care
Evaluate nursing care and practice activities
Provide patient education and explain expected care outcomes




Collaborate within a multidisciplinary, family-centered workplace
Requirements: Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration in good standing
Current Basic Life Support certification from Heart and Stroke Foundation
One year of current medical-surgical experience
Health Assessment course or recognized equivalent
Strong communication, documentation, organization, and prioritization skills
