Build donor relationships and secure external funding for RRC Polytech using fundraising expertise, critical thinking, and advanced communication skills. This is a full time position.
The Senior Development Officer works within the Advancement department’s Development team, supporting student success, academic excellence, and strategic objectives. You will manage relationships with current and prospective donors, execute fundraising or sales campaigns, and advance proposals and stewardship. Success requires knowledge of fundraising ethics, Manitoba industry sectors, and economic impacts.
Key Responsibilities: Identify prospective donors with capacity to contribute
Grow relationships with donors and institutional stakeholders
Secure funding for Polytech initiatives and priorities
Manage proposals, donor stewardship, and engagement
Advance projects from inception through completion
Requirements: Prospecting experience with individual and corporate donors
Experience closing five- and six-figure gifts
Knowledge of fundraising concepts, practices, and ethics
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Respectful workplace experience supporting diversity and learning
Apply relationship management, fundraising campaigns, and stakeholder communication to strengthen RRC Polytech’s donor partnerships.
