Lead retail security for Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s by combining investigations, regulatory compliance, risk analysis, and employee training.
Reporting to the Regional Asset Protection Manager, this position leads the asset protection function across retail stores. You will enhance profitability through shrink reduction, evaluate procedures, identify process and training gaps, and ensure safety for people and property. The role also supports regional initiatives and develops qualified partnerships across store and regulatory networks.
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate asset protection performance and retail procedures
Ensure compliance for restricted and non-restricted firearms
Maintain safety and security for people and property




Train employees on proactive asset protection awareness
Support initiatives advancing the asset protection program
Requirements: Retail asset protection experience of two to four years
Degree in criminology, business, or related discipline preferred
Eligibility for Canadian Firearm Centre PAL licensing
Eligibility for a provincial Security Guard License
Common security systems experience, including CCTV and card access
Use security leadership, compliance knowledge, and investigative judgment to strengthen asset protection across Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s.
