Optimum Insurance is looking for a Telephone Adjuster to join our Claims team in North Bay.
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President,Claims you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service by managing claims from initial notification through to resolution. You will investigate losses, review policy coverage, assess claims, negotiate settlements, and ensure a positive experience for our policyholders throughout the claims process.

What You'll Do
Investigate and manage claims submitted by policyholders.
Review policy coverage and determine claim eligibility.
Gather and analyze information required to assess and resolve claims.
Communicate with insureds, brokers, third parties, vendors, and authorities as required.
Negotiate and settle claims within established authority levels.
Maintain accurate documentation and claim files.
Provide professional, timely, and empathetic customer service throughout the claims process.
Collaborate with team members while managing your own workload effectively.
What We're Looking For
College diploma or university degree.
Knowledge of the Property & Casualty insurance industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Accurate computer and keyboarding skills with strong attention to detail.
Asset Qualifications
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
Enrollment in or completion of the CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation.
Previous claims handling or insurance experience.
