Perform complex ultrasound services at Canmore General Hospital in Canmore, using diagnostic imaging expertise and patient-focused care. This casual relief position works varied shifts.
As a Diagnostic Sonographer I, you will support Alberta Health Services’ Diagnostic Imaging team. You will perform standardized and complex ultrasound examinations for diagnosing and tracking disease and pathology. The position supports inpatient, long-term care, outpatient, and Emergency examinations through established workflows.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations
Review patient histories before procedures
Explain examination procedures clearly to patients
Obtain diagnostic-quality ultrasound images
Assist medical staff with special procedures when required
Requirements: Extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program
Active or eligible ACMDTT registration
Current BCLS-HCP certification
Minimum two years of ultrasound experience
Ability to work diverse shifts, including evenings and weekends
Apply diagnostic sonography expertise, image acquisition skills, and patient safety practices within Canmore General Hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging team.
