Optima Living seeks a Director of Care to oversee resident care and clinical teams while promoting independence and self-determination. Reporting to the General Manager, you will coordinate assessments, care plans, communication, staffing, and quality initiatives. The role includes collaboration with families, health authorities, professionals, and community resources.
Key Responsibilities: Foster trusting relationships with residents and families
Connect residents with health and community resources
Guide nutrition, chronic disease, and mental health support




Collaborate with health authorities and external professionals
Ensure infection control and privacy requirements are followed
Requirements: Approved nursing education and current BCCNM license
Residential care or mental health leadership experience
Therapeutic approach to care delivery
Ability to provide hands-on education and training
Experience with crisis intervention and difficult situations
Lead compassionate resident care through therapeutic practice, family communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration at Optima Living.
