This Pharmacy Assistant position supports the Pharmacist with technical prescription filling and administrative work. You will interpret written prescriptions, complete dosage calculations, organize records, and maintain drug and supply inventory. The role also includes cashier and OTC support as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter patient information, prices, refills, and prescription data
- Perform seven point, visual, and DIN accuracy checks
- Select, count, measure, label, and prepare appropriate products
- Order, receive, price,
and put away pharmacy supplies
- Assist with OTC ordering, stocking, and cashier duties
Requirements:
- Be 16 or older
- Recognize drug names and interpret Latin abbreviations
- Complete dosage calculations for prescription processing
- Assess prescriptions for completeness before processing
- Follow Pharmacist direction and authorized refill procedures
